Let me qualify "personally". I will make a recording on a .mp3 file with my voice
to promote your portal. I am one of the best telemarketers around. Not to brag,
but I proved it over and over for over a decade. People used to pay me $1000.00
back in the 1980's to just write and record one script for them that they could
run on automated telemarketing machines. I am only going to charge you for
the call per business and will do this recording for you free.
The world is now more sophisticated. Now instead of machines, we use the internet
to leave a voice mail message for businesses only in the evening so as not to
disturb their day.
When the business owners or the assistant's check the messages the next day,
there is a nice message telling them that your portal is there and is a
community effort to promote all businesses, and to make it the main entrance
to the internet for their town. I ask them to please go to your domain and
get a free listing right away, and also to tell their business owner friends
to do the same.
When I make these calls, I put your telephone number on the caller ID,
I give your name as the portal director, and your domain name of your portal.
Using this campaign is a great way to get your portal business off to a
fast blast. I think one of the best things about this campaign is that as you start visiting
the businesses you can honestly tell them that most of all businesses
in town have already been contacted about promoting the portal. This will
not let them feel they are the first divers into the water.
You will be surprised how many businesses will call you back and want to

are new to sales the industry standard is normally 10%. This in no way guarantees
