How to Build a Large Client Base of Premium Business Listing Clients in Your Town in THREE Punches!
Do you want to be the #1 media source for your town? Do you want
to be the one everyone comes to when they want to communicate or
advertise with the local citizens? If I show you how to do it,
are you willing to WORK for it? Is it worth a one time go all
out for it effort? (Hint, if you are lazy, just forget this and

1. Put a free listing for every business in town into your
portal using the automatic lead generator.
This is a very simple concept, yet very powerful. The birth of this
concept came to me back in the early 80's when I saturated my small
home town of 13,000 people with my systemized contact of the local
businesses. With no advertising budget I all but took over the cleaning
business, you can read about it here, http://salessuccessmagazine.com/principal_1.html
Now, with the new age of the internet, I have advanced this system considerably,
and customized and automated it for my portal directors. Here is all you need to do.
Introduce yourself as the local city portal director. Be sure you are like the
good not the bad, click here.
Ask if the person that greets you will make sure that the owner will receive the flyer. They are always polite
and will agree. Also, they are very relieved you are not trying to insist on seeing the owner immediately.
Everyone hates pushy salespeople, so don't be one.
Then ask if it is ok to send some more information. They will agree. After all
you have been so polite how could the refuse?
Then ask for the business owners card so you can address it to him/her. Everyone wants
to give out their business cards, so they will give it to you.
Once you have the card, make sure the email is on it. Then ask if it is ok if you send the information via email.
This is a very low pressure way for them to accept your information, so they will agree.
Bing, bang boom, you are out the door! Thats all you need to do.
2. Tell every business in town to submit a free coupon to the portal.
What this will do is get the businesses to see the value of the portal and they
will tell their customers that they can go to the portal and find their coupon.
It will also create a lot of good will because you are giving them a value before
you have even approached them about purchasing a premium listing.
All of this activity helps to build up more and more people using the local portal
and setting it as their home page. The count for the number of people setting
the portal as their home page shows on the front page, and the count of the searches
created in the business listings is shown also.
This adds more and more value to the portal as far as local businesses are concerned,
because they want to advertise where the local town people are gathering.
Any business can create a coupon, even including a barcode if needed, by creating
a classified ad account.
3. Tell every resident in town to place and read free classifieds in
the portal and use the internal email system and their personal home pages
to help sell their products and services.
Our classifieds are like "The List" on sterioids. Local residents using
the classifieds creates even more traffic and home page settings for the portal,
creating even more value for the businesses to be listed in the portal.
There are a lot of creative ways you can use to get the local residents to
start using the classifieds:
A. Doorknob hangers on resident doors.
B. Rent a booth at local fairs where all the local residents will
be walking by. Hand out flyers for classifieds and fish for businesses that want
to purchase listings.
C. Pick up the local newspaper, turn to the classifieds. Start calling
all of them and tell the person that placed the classified that they should
be putting one in the local portal also, for free!
Accomplishing all 3 of these steps will give you ultimate saturation into the
town population, and put you as the #1 media in the town.
D. Make a moving billboard. Click here

Sales is a numbers game! Pick Your Numbers!
Please note that some of our portal directors with experience in sales get 25% of
the business owners they give a presentation to purchase a premium listing. If you
are new to sales the industry standard is normally 10%. This in no way guarantees
you will have these percentages, but some of our directors report 25% closing ratio
once a business owner has been given a full presentation.
